Marriott Launch
Information
The new Marriott Hotel in Limerick City is built on the site of the old Savoy Cinema. The Savoy Cinema was a beautiful 1935 art deco building and a cultural landmark of Limerick City from 1935 to 1988. When the Marriott rebuilt their new five star hotel on this site they were very mindful to pay homage to the old Cinema and maintained many art deco themes throughout the hotel.
Our brief was to pay respect to the old Cinema and recreate some of the glitz and glamour of the 1930's and to welcome in a whole new era in Limerick's history.
This was a great event celebrating the old and the new! Many of the old staff from the Savoy's days attended and were presented with mementos from the Hotel.
We supplied all the themes, costumes and entertainment for the event and even two 1930's vintage cars! -
Entertainment included - A Salute to the Andrew Sisters, Owen Brady and The Three Irish Tenors.
