Keynotes

Bio

The Key Notes is an Irish based vocal harmony group and showcases five of the biggest voices to come out of Ireland in recent years. All the members have considerable international performance experience in a diverse number of musical fields.

Traditional Irish music fuses with jazz and opera to give an all encompassing musical experience. Their blend is superb as, although all operate as soloists, they have all been part of top quality choral groups, such as the National Chamber Choir of Ireland and the choral group, Anúna. To date they have: performed a number of times on Irish television; written, arranged, and performed for film soundtrack; written and performed advertisement jingles (including the highly successful Maynards Wine Gum Ads). They appear as special guest artists on the album 'An Incognito Christmas', released in 2004.

They are in constant demand on the corporate entertainment circuit, including regular performances for the President of Ireland, Mary McAleese, at her official residence. As individuals and as a group they have recorded with, or performed alongside, Phil Coulter, James Galway, Shane McGowan, Rebecca Storm, Charlotte Church, Secret Garden, Celtic Woman, John McNally, The Chieftans, Rua, The Celtic Tenors, Eimear Quinn, Ronan Tynan, Brian Kennedy, and Niall Tobin.

The group consists of Owen Brady, a jazz artist, who specialises in musical special effects; Stephen Fennelly, the group's fog horn, who is a corner stone of the Irish National Chamber Choir, and who is one of Ireland's leading session singers; Barry Finn, one of Ireland's leading writers and arrangers, a world-class choral tenor, not to mention a falsetto specialist; Jeremy Morgan, who has travelled worldwide to wide critical acclaim, as the lead solo singer with Riverdance, a traditional and classical specialist; Simon Morgan, who has travelled worldwide as a jazz singer, is a highly trained opera singer much in demand in Ireland and the UK, and has toured abroad as a cultural representative with President McAleese.

Their performance is light hearted and fun, with each member interacting with the audience in their own unique way. Their repertoire will both amuse and astound audiences - from the haunting Irish pieces to jazz and opera classics, which show off the range and quality of these five stunning voices.
